CATHERINE RYCKEBUSCH – CVP MANAGER AT SECUREX MY CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AS CANDIDATE
I applied for the role of Customer Value Proposition Manager because of its strategic nature. It felt like a unique opportunity because I believe there aren’t many roles on the market that combine strategy with a large diversity of tasks and the possibility to grow. The first time I applied I wasn’t retained by M18. However, I was convinced that this job was a great fit for me so I contacted the office again to plead my case. After a good discussion and some questions, I was retained and entered the process.
During the recruitment process with M18, I got a clear view of the role and company. Öznur gave me constructive feedback and pointers for my first meeting with Securex, which really helped me.
At Securex, HR, the Marketing Director, Patrick, and the Marketing Segment Manager, Gregory, gave me a positive whilst also honest view on Securex and the challenges of the CVPM role. This gave me all the necessary information to make the right, calculated decision. Due to the Covid-19 situation, it was a long process, but I was convinced of the match, so I did not mind waiting. During this process I had the chance to meet Ineke virtually, my direct colleague and the other CVPM, who also gave me an interesting insight on the role and kept in touch. She wasn’t the only one though, M18 kept updating me and made sure that I felt comfortable whilst going through the process and waiting for the GO.
From my first day on I felt welcome, even before my onboarding several colleagues had reached out to me on LinkedIn to welcome me and wish me good luck. This really made a difference to me. The entire onboarding itself was very well-organised with a detailed planning for the following months to come.
After a two-week onboarding at the office, I had to switch to working from home full-time due to Covid-19. I definitely prefer working at the office because even though I had a great onboarding, it’s much harder to connect with co-workers in a more informal way.
I have now been at Securex for about 6 months and it turns out that HR services are more complex than I had expected, making this a great challenge in which I can manage several exciting projects at the same time. Therefore, I look forward to my future at Securex and maybe, the possibility for inhouse mobility within several years.
To conclude, I would like to thank M18 and Öznur in particular for the way of working, continuous follow-up, feedback and open communication.
